Jhonatan Torres

His life is a testimony of God’s transforming grace. From a troubled childhood, God drew him through His Word, discipleship, and the example of faithful believers, transforming his heart and giving him a clear calling to missions. In 2019, God led him to serve among the Wayuu people in La Guajira—a community he had prayed for as a child—where he encountered deep spiritual and physical needs. He is now married to Marielis, a Wayuu believer, and together they serve in cross-cultural ministry, sharing the gospel, discipling leaders, and reaching communities in La Guajira, as well as in Galapa and Tubará.

Their ministry is holistic, seeking to meet both spiritual and practical needs. Alongside evangelism—including showing the Jesus Film in the Wayuu language—they aim to provide nutritious lunches for children in several Wayuu rancherías affected by malnutrition, distribute cereals enriched with Ganoderma and spirulina protein, and organize medical campaigns to serve these vulnerable communities. Their desire is to reflect the love of Christ through both word and action, bringing hope and transformation.
